The business services market is inherently difficult to define although one of the best ways to define this sector is to look at outsourced services. The total catering services market in the UK is estimated to be worth an estimated £48.3 billion with the total outsourced in the catering services market totalling £5.6 billion. In 2009, the total turnover of firms classified as providing management consultancy services totalled £40.5 billion of which £1.8 billion is estimated to have been earned from public relations and communications activities.
