India's super-cheap Aakash tablet expected to be released by the end of January 2012
Mobile applications are rapidly gaining popularity due to huge number of mobile devise and newer device adoption such as Tablet PC. During December 2011, the Indian super-cheap tablet, the Aakash, was reported to have been delayed. The tablet is expected to cost consumers just US$35, much less than Amazon's Kindle Fire, which retails at US$199. The Aakash tablet is being subsidised by the Indian government and will be distributed to Indian students when it is released. The reason for the delay is reported to be an unforeseen manufacturing problem, and is now expected to be released at the end of January 2012.
Mobile apps are mostly light-weight and economically viable solution for not only entertainment purpose but also for business and other productivity use.
