US Airways took care of more than two million customers during the period 22^nd December to the 1^st January, at the same time reporting the company's strongest operational performance in their history. US Airways delivered the best ever fourth quarter in 2011 in terms of departure performance, baggage handling during one of the busiest times of the year.

The company had planned well for the heavier than expected passenger volumes and the good weather and focus on ensuring flights departed on time ensured that US Airways reported their best operational performance to-date.

Robert Isom, US Airways Vice President and Chief Operating Officer stated that this accomplishment could not have been met without the hard work of all 32,000 US Airways employees. During the period 22^nd December 2011 to 1^st January 2012, 99.6% of scheduled flights completed their mission with 86.5% of these flights arriving within 14 minutes of their scheduled time. In addition, US Airways attained a low figure of 2.77 mishandled bags per 1000 enplanements and an average load factor or seats occupied of 83.9%.

US Airways along with US Airways Shuttle and US Airways Express operates more than 3000 flights per day and serves more than 200 communities in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Middle East, the Caribbean, Central and South America. US Airways employs a total of 32,000 employees worldwide.
