PetSmart is celebrating National Train Your Dog Month and a recent study by the National Council on Pet Population (NCPPSP) revealed that ninety six percent of all dogs in shelters are untrained. Pet parents need to be better educated and common behavioural challenges with dogs can easily be resolved through training and exercise.

Training or lack of attention is one of the primary reasons dogs are turned into shelters. Debbie McKnight from PetSmart is keen to promote awareness for the requirement for pet training and hence is promoting National Train Your Dog Month in January.
