Muve Music has just surpassed 500,000 customer having been launched less than a year ago to become the second largest digital music subscription service in the United States. Cricket Communications is a leading provider of value-driven wireless services. Cricket Communications is a wholly owned subsidiary of Leap Wireless International Inc and launched its Muve Music service in January 2011.

Muve Music has continued to expand from its launch at the beginning of 2011 to surpass 500,000 customers and become the second largest digital music subscription service in the United States. Interestingly, Muve Music's customers are demonstrating heavier usage of the company's services compared to other mobile music offerings.

On average customers listen to approximately 40 hours of music and download 300 songs over Cricket's 3G network for each month they use the service. Doug Hutcheson, Cricket Communications' chief executive stated he was pleased with the results over such a short timescale. In the final period of 2011, Muve Music expanded rapidly due to an expanded nationwide distribution and affordable Android phone offering.

Muve Music has expanded its distribution relationships with leading national retailers which has improved brand awareness and exposure for the service. Muve Music is regarded as an innovative product that is combined with Cricket's wireless offering. Muve Music capable phones are replacing iPods, MP3 players and computers as the primary music device in customers. Since Muve Music's launch in January 2011, a total of 500 million songs had been downloaded with more than 1.5 billion tracks listened to.

Muve Music represents the first music experience designed specifically for the mobile phone and requires no synching, no computers and no cords with the service accounting for more than ninety percent of all tethered streams for the top 300 songs tracked in the mobile application category.
