Time Inc., is reportedly parting ways with the new chief executive of its magazines division, Jack Griffin, who has only held the position for less than six months, according to several US media reports.
An internal Time memo obtained by media organizations stated that Mr. Griffin's leadership style "did not mesh" with Time's culture. The company's magazines division publishes a stable of well-known titles including Time magazine, Fortune, People and Entertainment among others.
Griffin's departure comes shortly after the media and entertainment group and magazine publisher announced a slight decline in revenues at its publishing division of two percent to $3.7 billion.
A new industry report, entitled "Magazine & Periodical Publishing in the US - Industry Market Research Report", provides a detailed analysis of the magazine and periodical publishing sector in the US.
