Samsung Telecommunications America or Samsung Mobile is to be the first smartphone provider allowing customers to access live mobile television feeds. MetroPCS Communications Inc and the Mobile Content Venture (MCV) announced on the 4^th January 2012 that the two companies are partnering to allow MetroPCS customers to watch live, local broadcast television on their mobile phones in 2012. Dyle Mobile TV will be offered to customers for the first time on mobile devices which are pre-loaded with the Dyle application.

ATSC Mobile technology will be used to provide this live television service on Samsung smartphones. MetroPCS's president and chief operating officer, Tom Keys, has stated that the company is excited to be the first mobile service provider to deliver a unique entertainment offering which meets the demands of their customers.

Dyle Mobile TV is the consumer-facing brand which was launched by MCV which will deliver live mobile television content from 15 major broadcast groups including Pearl LLC, Fox, ION Television, Bahakel, Univision, Telemundo and NBC.

A total of 72 stations in 32 markets is expected to be offered at the start which will cover more than fifty percent of the United States population.
